Yeehaw

Hi, just a quick post as I am in the middle of my Dissertation and have not been as active as usual at posting and visiting you lovely people, I will make up for it when my degree is finished at the end of June. Lots of celebrating will be going on and cocktails will be flowing LOL. I did manage to get out this weekend to a barn dance for my friends 30th birthday (she is the one in the gorgeous pink dress) we had a fantastic time and laughed soooo much, it was very energetic. She is off to New York soon so made her a money gift card from me and one for the collection we had in work for her, hope you like them.
Love that pink dress, have promised her an album of her special night.
This was made using the gorgeous lalaland stamp Winter Marci and coloured with copics. The cute New York buttons came in a pack.
This one was made using the Kenny K stamp Madison Attitude and have entered it over at the Whimsy stamp blog challenge, any questions feel free to ask. Well take care and have a great week x

Cinema Gift Card Holder

Hi everyone, hope you are all well, the weather here in London is miserable, has rained and rained and rained!!! Made this cinema gift card holder for a friends birthday using one of the new Saturated Canary digi stamps called Rocky Horror Show Usherette. Used my copis to colour and some stickles and rock candy to make her pop.
I had fun using one of my new stamp sets from Creative Expressions, it was the Movie Night set which I used to make the little sign and small coke and popcorn images.
The flower trim is from Etsy seller Frogfeathers, she has the most gorgeous ribbons and trims. If you haven't checked out Etsy yet you should give it a go, gorgeous handmade embellishments at reasonable prices.
I tried to make the little tin look like an old film cannister (Kim's idea) and everything is stuck onto a cup holder from a coffee shop so you can slide the gift card into the back. Well that's enough from me, have mentioned before if you are not already addicted to Pinterest you need to check it out, have linked you to my boards so you can get what it is all about. One last thing, is anyone interested in me listing the supplies I have used when I post, Copics etc, let me know what you all think thanks, have a great weekend whatever the weather LOL!

CSI and The Color Room layouts

Hi everyone, hope you all had a great Easter! You might want to check out the latest challenge over at CSI my layout is another Prom one of DD from last year, loving the colours on this one, so pretty. My evidence was the butterfly for an animal accent and glossy accents on the leaves for a wet medium.

My evidence was to write a haiku, which I have hidden in the pink pull out tabs as I still find journalling hard to do. Used some old GCD paper from Donna Salazer and some old bits and pieces from my stash, the little pink Love tag was from Milagros from the CCG days!

My second layout is for thecolorroom gorgeous colours over there this week, make sure you check them out. This layout is The Animal Kingdom Lodge hotel in WDW Florida, we stayed here in 2007 and are going back this August, it is the best place on earth to stay.

This was fun to create, trying to use as much of my old paper etc as possible. Lots of rolled flowers and cut out leaves, glossy accents on the leaves and also on the chipboard letters which I used gesso on first and then inked, pleased with the results. I also cut round the pic and used gesso and ink on that as well, think it turned out okay.

Hope you all have a great week, my latest addiction is Pinterest if you haven't tried it you need to it is sooooo cool! Take care, Doreen x
